Purwanchal University(PUSAT)
The Purwanchal University School of Science and Technology (PUSAT) was established in 1994 under the Purbanchal University Act, 2050 (1994)”. In 1996, it started three years Bachelor of Computer Application (B.C.A.)
program in Biratnagar which was the pioneer program of Nepal but currently FOST has offered four years
Bachelor Programs in IT, Engineering and two years Master Program based on credit hours and semester system.
Purbanchal University was established with the aims to develop higher education in the country in a
decentralized manner and to expand the opportunities of higher education into other parts of the country as
well. It has 5 faculties i.e. Management, Science and Technology, Arts, Law and Education. Now Purbanchal
University has 3 constituent campuses and 89 affiliated private campuses.
The establishment of Purbanchal University in 1993 was visualized as an extraordinary Endeavour by the
Government of Nepal to create an academic centre of excellence in the Eastern Development Region of Nepal and
has come as a great relief to both urban and rural poor mass wishing to attain higher education within the
country.

As a part of information technology (IT) department called PUSAT of PURBANCHAL UNIVERSITY, we go through

You participate in extra curricular activities and get more exposure towards overall development of the
student, seminars, outbound learning trips, sports meet. The students organizes the event and learn many
things.
Students start internship, go to a company and understand how to work and behave in professional
environment. Internships provide you lot of exposure towards your career. You get experience and bond with
employers and employees.
